Basilica Sagrada Familia
The Sagrada Familia is one the most famous landmarks in Barcelona. The construction began in 1882 and Gaudí took over construction in 1883 until he died in 1926. The basilica is still currently in construction and financed off of the cost of tour tickets with the plan to finish in 2026. This massive gothic style basilica has vastly different styles on each facade so when visiting it is important to take a thorough walk around each side.
The interior of the Sagrada Familia is equally as impressive as the exterior with a vast amount of colorful glass, which paints the entire basilica a variety of colors with the hit of sunlight. Casa Batlló
This impressive structure has a story behind it that still lives today. Each part of this building serves as a symbol such as the roof, which represents the back of a dragon with shiny scales and the pillars in the windows, which represent bones, among many others. This is definitely something you cannot miss!
Casa Milà "La Pedrera"
This creation by Gaudí is one of his last creations until he devoted himself entirely to the Sagrada Familia. It is unique for a variety of reasons one of them being the fact that is has absolutely no right angles since it was built using only natural forms. On the top of the building, as shown in the picture above, are the famous soldiers, which form part of the ventilation system. This building is sure to change the way you think about architecture and design forever.
Park Güell
This incredible park originally began as a private estate until the owner, Eusebi Güell died and his heirs sold the park to the City, which then opened it as a park in the year 1926. The park is full of beautiful tiles that are pieced together in a way that creates a wide variety of colors and shapes, which please the eyes of every visitor. A visit to this park will leave you imagining the lifestyle in such a unique estate and your camera full of gorgeous pictures!
