The small town of Tossa de Mar is located just under 2 hours away from Barcelona by bus or just over one hour by car but you can feel like you’ve entered another world. There are many beach choices to choose from and all of them have unique characteristics that add to the beauty of the entire town. The largest beach is right in front of downtown and is called Platja Gran and is enclosed by the picturesque medieval castle on the west side. La Mar Menuda is the second largest beach in Tossa de Mar and is located on the opposite side of the castle. El Codolar is located behind the medieval castle and is the perfect location to get in some snorkeling during your trip.
