Parc de Pedralbes

Sunset in the Parc de Pedralbes

The Palacio Real de Pedralbes is hidden behind 250 meters of walls covered by bougainvillea. Its gardens are in a French and English style and have romantic tones that will take you back to the period when the peacefulness and majesty of the place determined its location. As soon as you pass the wrought-iron grids of the entrance and you see the pond in the middle, where you can see a statue of a woman, you will feel the peaceful atmosphere of these gardens, which are the perfect place to relax

Parc de la Ciutadella

The Parc de la Ciutadella

Built on the former fortress of the city for the 1888 Universal Exhibition, the Parc de la Ciutadella is the oldest park of the city and during a long time it was also the only one. The park has ten entrances, including the monumental gates, one on the Paseo de Pujades and the other on the Paseo de Picasso. We recommend you to visit this green area of the city, away from the hustle and bustle of the streets, just relax and have a drink close to the waterfall and the castle of the three dragons that nowadays serves as a zoological museum, or under the Glorieta de la música, a kiosk that gives a romantic touch to the place.

Parc Güell

Views of Barcelona from the Parque Güell

The Parc Güell is a work of the famous Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí and named after the family who ordered it. This park is one of the most elegant parks in Barcelona and even in Spain. Gaudí created the park during his naturalistic period, which is the reason why so many forms seem to replicate the surrounding nature, leaving behind the common classical buildings. The monument in the centre of the park does not remain unnoticed; you can admire the dragon, sitting on the square while admiring Barcelona and the mosaics of the benches. From this place you can also see the roofs of the Barcelona buildings. Stroll between the constructions and raise your head, if you do not want to miss any detail of the ceilings... then continue your walk on the little, less common paths, but from where you can also enjoy wonderful views.

Parc de Cervantes

Views of Parque de Cervantes

The Parc de Cervantes is located between Avinguda Diagonal and Avinguda d’Esplugues, close to Esplugues de Llobregat. Inaugurated in 1965, it is the perfect place for rose lovers. Here you can admire roses of all shapes and colours on its more than 8 hectares of gardens with 245 varieties of these flowers and of course, enjoy its fragrance! In addition, the park also offers recreational areas for Ping-Pong players; picnic areas and pergolas that provide some shade.
