Fashion and haute couture are concepts that are closely related to France. We can’t help but associate the neighbouring country with catwalks, latest trends, etc. Now that summer sales are arriving (or Soldes d'été, as they are called there), it is time to think about planning a getaway to any of our cities to find a bargain and wear French fashion at the best price

With our Renfe-SNCF in Cooperation high-speed trains, you have the chance to visit the main cities in France and take advantage of shopping at unbeatable prices.

In 2018, the sales season in France will last from June 27 to August 8. It will be more than a month of bargains that will bring you the opportunity to purchase clothes from your favourite brands at a significant discount. Depending on the store, you will find sales as high as 25%, 50% or even 75% off

Do you need to renew your wardrobe? We recommend the following locations to make the most out of Paris summer sales.

Shopping in the great outlets of Boulevard Haussmann

Left: Galleries Lafayette - Right: Warehouses Printemps

Boulevard Haussmann goes from Avenue de Friedland all the way up to Boulevard Montmartre, going through Parisian districts 8 and 9. With a length of over 2 kilometers (1.25 miles), you could say that it is one of the most sophisticated streets of the French capital. There you can find outstanding stores such as Printemps and the mythical Galeries Lafayette.

The Printemps outlet dedicates over 44,000 m2 (475,000 ft2) to fashion and luxury, and is located in an elegant building that dates back to 1865. Within you can find over 300 brands that will be brandishing the famous ‘Soldes’ sign during the sales season.

For its part, Galeries Lafayette is a shopping paradise. Over 1,200 brands will offer lower prices than usual at a building that looks more like a palace, given its decoration, its great main stairway and its impressive dome.

Walk the stores of Avenue des Champs-Élysées

Avenue of the Champs Elysees full of pedestrians

The most important avenue in Paris is also among the best to go shopping. And there is a good reason for it: Avenue des Champs-Élysées connects the Arc de Triomphe with the Place de la Concorde, two touristic locations par excellence of the capital. In addition to being a must-see for visitors, it is also a commercial street dotted by tens of luxurious stores. For example, Louis Vuitton’s flagship store is located there. Don’t hesitate to visit it; major brands also have clothes on sale!

The Latin Quarter, Montmartre, Marais and Boulevard Saint Germain are also excellent options to enjoy bargains in Paris.

Remember that during the sales season you can’t exchange or return items. So before making an impulse purchase, think about your decision. If you can, go shopping in the morning, when there are less people in the big cities.

This summer, our Renfe-SNCF en Cooperación high-speed trains will help you wear the latest fashion at the lowest prices. Climb aboard!
