​Museum Night will be celebrated around the world on Saturday, May 18, 2019. Spain is a country defined by its history and artists, so it is impossible to miss this opportunity to visit places steeped in culture in a festive context. Every year, a theme is chosen by the International Council of Museums, and this year it will be as follows: "Museums, cultural platforms: the future of tradition". Museum Night at Madrid



Enjoy the charm of museums in the night of Madrid

As every year, Madrid museums will be the main protagonists of the night: the Prado Museum, the Reina Sofía Museum and the Thyssen Museum allow their visitors to (re)discover not only the permanent collection, but also temporary exhibitions. Activities are planned, conferences are organized on the theme chosen this year, as well as concerts, so that everyone can find an activity to their taste.

Less famous museums in the city will also open their doors to the public, the perfect opportunity for visitors to take the time to discover them. The Caixaforum Madrid will be free all day and in the evening and speakers will be present to answer all visitors' questions. The Cerralbo Museum will offer guided tours during the day and in the evening. As for the National Archaeological Museum, it will offer its visitors the opportunity to visit spaces that are usually inaccessible... Museum Night at Barcelona



  It's a great opportunity to enjoy museums indoors and outdoors

​As everywhere else in Spain, Catalan cities will open the doors to their major cultural monuments but also to smaller, less well-known ones; an opportunity to discover the museums of Figueras, Girona and Barcelona, but also to discover surrounding cities such as Badalona, the Hospitalet de Llobregat and Esplugues de Llobregat, accessible by metro from Barcelona's centre.
