For the 17th edition of the Mutua Madrid Open, you will have the chance to admire the best tennis players worldwide in 17 games that are played during the 10 day tournament.
The tournament will take place at the Caja Mágica de Madrid that will celebrate its 10th anniversary. This modern facility has already hosted the tournament nine times and has become one of the most relevant tennis installations. The president of the tournament emphasized the importance of this place because it can accommodate 260,000 people. "The Caja Mágica is a key element of the city of Madrid thanks to the Mutua Madrid Open. This is where the best tennis players in the world shone”. Rafael Nadal was the champion in 2017 and Dominic Thiem was finalist. Novak Djokovic was the 2016 champion and Andy Murray finalist. In the double tennis competition, Marcelo Melo and Łukasz Kubot were the 2017 champions. Simona Halep was the 2017 champion while Kristina Mladenovic was finalist. Serena Williams won in 2012 and 2013. Martina Hingis and Yung-Jan Chan were champions in the feminine doubles category in 2017. Andrea Hlaváčková and Tímea Babos were the doubles finalists in 2017… and the list could even be longer.
