SOLIDAYS 2018: PARIS MOST CHARITABLE FESTIVAL

For the last two decades, Paris has been organizing the Solidays festival, an event that mixes equal parts of music, entertainment and solidarity. Each instalment manages to bring together over 200,000 people willing to enjoy a whole weekend of concerts, conferences, exhibits and many other activities related to the fight against the HIV virus.

In 2018, it will be held on the weekend of June 22 to 24 in an edition that, just like the ones before it, is sure not to let you down.

Our Renfe-SNCF in Cooperation high-speed trains connect Spain with the French capital. If you still have no plans for June, what are you waiting to reserve your spot?

Visiting Paris in Junewill not only let you tour the city in a more than pleasant climate, but also take part of events such as Solidays. It is the perfect example of how three days can offer more than you’d ever expect. And this is because in just one weekend, there will be more than 40 concerts, and more than 150 artists of the national and international scene attending.

Solidays is a synonym of fun, but also of raising awareness about a disease that nowadays still affects the lives of millions of people across the globe. It will therefore also by a space where AIDS victims will be remembered, where people will be able to speak free from taboos, and where music and solidarity will arise as the best possible couple.

A well-rounded program

In regard to concerts, the festival will bring together renowned music celebrities, with exclusive leading artists such as David Guetta, DJ Snake, IAM, Nekfeu, Juliette Armanet, Shaka Ponk, Jain and Bigflo & Oli. But this is just the entrée, because the program is diverse and eclectic.

At the same time, several charities, volunteers and activists will share their experiences with attendees through stands filled with information, brochures, exhibits, etc.

A camping area will be available with all kinds of services (recreational area, showers, mobile charging stations and others) so people can more thoroughly enjoy the festival.

The Longchamp Racecourse

The Solidays festival will take place at the Longchamp Racecourse. Inaugurated in the year 1857 by Napoleon, the Paris Grand Prix is held at this racetrack every year, and it is usually also home to concerts and other activities. It has 57 hectares (141 acres) and is located between the Seine and the Bois de Boulogne Park in western Paris.

The racecourse is, in fact, a superb starting point to discover the surroundings. Going deeper into this park and discovering hidden treasures such as Le Jardin d'Acclimatation and the Marmottan Monet Museum – which holds one of the most important impressionist art collections in the world – is well worth it.
